Meet newborn baby girl Adria.  Adria was just a few days new when we had her session this weekend.  I was thrilled when her mother contacted me to set-up her newborn session.  It is such a treat to have returning clients and to watch their families grow.   Adria was a very alert baby, but she finally gave into some sleep (I always win the battle of the not-so-sleepy-newborn, always). ;)  Isn’t she just a beautiful baby girl?  What a wonderful way to finish off my sessions for 2011!

As 2011 winds down, I am happy to share an event that is so timely with the holidays upon us.   Help-Portrait is a worldwide event taking place this Saturday, December 10th.  This is the third annual Help Portrait event, and it has grown leaps and bounds.  This year Calgary will be hosting two sites!  We will be at the Inn From the Cold and The Calgary Drop In Centre.  We hope to provide over one-thousand prints to those less fortunate.  Help-Portrait is an amazing collaboration of photographers and volunteers coming together for one common goal.  Our goal is to donate a portrait to people in need.   I am honoured to be a part of such an amazing worldwide event.  If you would like to learn more about Help-Portrait, check out the links below.

Exciting times around here.  My daughter (nearly seven) lost her first tooth this fall.  Many of her friends had lost several teeth, so she was getting quite anxious (as was I)!

Here are a few shots of my BIG girl showing off her first lost tooth.  I was so happy we were able to go out on a gorgeous evening with some delicious light to capture her very special moment.

I had the pleasure of another session with these handsome brothers on Canada Day.  If they look familiar, you may remember these little men from their session last year, here.  They have grown so much over the past year and I was thrilled to have had the opportunity to document their lives.  In typical toddler boy fashion, they were running around constantly (in opposite directions, of course), but they slowed down just quick enough for me to snap some shots.  The sun was out in full force, so we had to hide in the trees for some shade. Aren’t they handsome?  Soon-to-be heartbreakers for sure! :)
