sunset summer lovin’: calgary child photographer

This summer has been so terribly wonderfully busy!  This blog has been neglected as the summer holidays have taken over. One more little road trip and sadly this summer will be filed into the memories box.  School supplies will be purchased.  School will begin.  Chaos will ensue. And, every little thing will settle into a routine, a pattern of some sort.  More memories will be created.  There will be a collection of ups and downs as we bring 2010 to a close.  Where did 2010 go by the way?

I had an opportunity (okay, about three minutes to be exact) to snap a few shots of my sweet little man in the fields down the road  from our home.    My son is three years old, so he had other plans during our three minutes (yes, a mere 180 seconds).  He wanted nothing to do with the camera.  Nope, he was too busy picking up bugs and chasing dragonflies.  I didn’t mind. The sunshine was deliciously perfect and I had the honor of watching him revel in it.  Just the two of us. Together. I just happily snapped a few shots (half caring about my settings as I just relished in the sweet alone time with my boy) and this is what went through my head with each click:

He is growing up too fast.  Way too fast.
He makes my heart smile.  A lot
I want to freeze time.  I am serious.
I love him.
He starts school in a few weeks.  My baby starts school.
I am a proud mama. Period.

Here are a few shots (perfect only to me) of our 180 seconds in the dreamy delicious field with amazing light.

Enjoy and thanks for stopping by. : )
